The first design phase has been about the study of the area considering boundaries, differences in height and pre-existence, searching for a dialogue
between function, construction and landscape. To redefine the spaces of storehouse and fruit storehouse, placed in the existing wing, it has
been chosen to keep and complete the structural mesh. The main intention has been to obtain new spaces adaptable to changes of the functions
inside. The facades have been opened with big windows that allow to see the hills all around. Thanks to a big ramp is possible to pass the altitude
gap of 1,30 m so the vehicles can load and unload easily.
Fruit storehouse and storehouse are crossed by itineraries that allow to the visitors
to assist to the different productions phases of the winery and that join them to the new building. This building shows a planimetric development
that follows the trend of the boundary. It consists of three floors and it is characterized by a big central space that represents an element of union
for the different part of the buildings; in this way it becomes a space of relation and meeting. Overhead itineraries overlook on this court and they
permit to have a global view of the all building; inside this space there are two smallest courts that allow to the light to arrive till the basement.
The whole building is thought like a concatenations of flexible spaces that can change their functions during the time and in relation to the needs.
